सन 1857 ई0 से पहले हिन्दुस्तान में षिक्षा और धार्मिक तरबियत हासिल करने के लिये बडे बडे मदारिस, खानकाहे और प्राईवेट मराकिज थे। जहां दर्स व तदरीस और इस्लाही तरबियत का सिलसिला कायम था। मगर अफसोस के सन 1857 ई0 के बाद ये सिलसिला कायम ना रह सका, इतिहास हमें बताता है के 1857 ई0 में जब आजादी की लहर को कुचल कर पूरे मुल्क पर बरतानवी साम्राज्य काबिज हो गया और चुन चुन कर उलामा को फाँसी पर लटकाया गया और मदारिस व दीनी मराकिज खत्म कर दिये गये, तो उस दौर के मुस्लिम दानिश्वरों और उलामा ए किराम ने हिन्दुस्तान में देष की आजादी, मिल्लत ए इस्लामिया ए हिन्द की सर बुलन्दी और इस्लाम और मुसलमानो के तहफफुज के लिये मदारिसे इस्लामिया और दीनी मकातिब कायम करने की मुहिम चलायी । सब से पहले इस तहरीक का हेडक्वार्टर दारुल उलूम देवबन्द कायम फरमाया और इस के अलावा अपनी लगातार कोषिष से देष के कोने कोने में धार्मिक व षिक्षा के मराकिज कायम किये, और देखते ही देखते पूरे देष में मदारिस व मकातिब की षाखाएं बिछ गयी । ... आगे >>
