Earlier, in 1857 there were great Islamic and religious institutions across the country, India, where Islamic teachings and reformative activities used to be done. But, unfortunately, this course of Islamic teaching was ruined. The Indian history tells that when the freedom struggle was sabotaged and the British Rule came to power, and great Islamic scholars were massacre, In this critical condition, great, prominent and far sighted Islamic leaders, and personages realized the up coming danger and paid their attention to erect Islamic institutions to protect Islam, its culture and civilization on the land of India.They were deeply concerned to the next generation. At first a Madarsa was established at Deoband, which, later on, led the community to follow its course. Then a large number of Madarsas came into existence in the nook and corner of the country in a very short time. And millions of Muslim boys and girls were taught and trained there. Due to sincere and thankless efforts of Ulama many more Islamic Madarsas spread all over the country in a few days.
Jamia Badrul Uloom, Garhi Daulat Kandhla, is one of these prominent and important Islamic madarsas, which was established by the great and noble scholars of Darul Uloom Deoband, on 14th Zilhijjah 1383 AH ( May 1962).
In the early days of Jamia many learned personages came to run this Madarsa, but it gained all over progress and development under the guidance of Maulana Muhammad Kamil Sahab Kandhlawi Rahmatullah Alaih who was a spiritual leader and truthful successor of Shaikhul Islam and Freedom fighter, Maulana Sayed Husain Ahmad Madani, and renowned caliph of late, Maulana sayed Asad Madani (Ex. President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind). He acquired lots of good and praiseworthy qualities, such as piousness, humbleness and generosity, which distinguished him among all his fellows.
By his sincere and continuous efforts, the institution achieved enormous progress in every field, and turned into a grand Islamic institution. It played such an excellent role in the field of education and management, that set an example.
After the demise of Hazrat Rahmatullah Alaih, his eldor son and successor Maulana Aaqil Qasmi has been engaging himself in the struggle for development and progress of the Jamia as a principal and organiser of it. Maulana Aaqil Qasmi is promoting the mission of Hazrat Rahmatullah Alaih with burning desire and great enthusiasm.
Its educational and teaching methods are an exemplary among any other Islamic Madarsas. Standard education, from first class of Arabic till Daura-e-Hadith is being imparted, along with Hifz, Nazra, Tajweed, Persian, Hindi, English etc. During the last Four years more than 80, students have been graduated from Daura-e-Hadith, and they have been engaging themselves in spreading Islamic education, knowledge and wisdom in different parts of the country.
By the virtue of Fida-E-Millat Maulana Sayed Asad Madani and remarkable efforts and active roles of the principal of Jamia. The institution is blooming tremendously and rendering great services to the masses and classes. Due to its all around development and standard education imparted to the students, the popularity of Jamia reached abroad too.
May Allah bestow all over development to it, protect it from evil eyes and reward all respectful.
